I am a junior working on my Bachelor of Arts in Education In Washington State University of Tri-Citites.
Experience
I have tutored first graders and third graters in Math. I love tutoring because of the help that I provide knowing it can really change someones life. I had one student who was a latino spanish speaking student. She was a bright student but some of the problems she was facing were: she was unable to identify numbers and associate them with the numbers she had learned in spanish. Another problem was that she lacked the confidence and believing that she could do it. I worked with her through out the semester and by the end of the semester I actually saw her face uplifted with the smile when she answered a question with confidence. Her teacher was very surprise and happy. Knowing that I made a difference is why I love tutoring.
